The PTS3E is designed for the manual control of suppository and pessary disintegration time. It conforms to the current requirements as laid down in the European Pharmacopoeia EP <2.9.2>. Three samples are tested simultaneously over a user selectable, pre-set period of 1 minute to 10 hours. The sample containers are rotated through 180°, as specified in the monograph. The water bath has a capacity of 12 litres (4ltr. for each of the samples). The total rotation time (for 180°) is normally 10 minutes, and the normal disintegration time is approximately 30 minutes. The bath, sample holder and test baskets can be removed from the instrument for cleaning. Due to the thermostat design (circulates from the bottom of the bath) it is made sure that no suppository material arrives inside the heating system.



The automated PTG-S4 powder testing system is used to measure the flow behaviour of granules and powders in compliance with the current EP <2.9.36/17> and USP <1174> pharmacopoeia as well as with the international ISO 4324 standards. This instrument is suitable for testing powder flow time, measureing the cone angle (angle of repose) of the collected powder mound and printing a powder flow chart. While measuring the weight, the powder cone density, the powder cone volume as well as the EP “flowability” results are calculated. The “flowability” means measuring the flow time of 100g of sample through a specified pouring nozzle. The PTG-S4 is equipped with a built-in analytical balance cell with a range of 1 – 350mg and an accuracy of 1.0 mg. Furthermore the instrument features and integrated dust protection bonnet and a built-in printer.


PT TD200

The PT-TD200 instrument measures the tapping or bulk density or apparent volume of powders or granules. Unlike the PT-TD1 this instrument can be used to test in compliance with the monographs of the USP <616, Method 1 and 2> as well as with the EP <2.9.34-3, Method 1-2>. The PT-TD200 automatically detects in which position the cylinder dish is placed and adjusts speed and tapping height automatically. It is equipped with a LCD display and a touch sensitive keyboard for data entry. The PT-TD200 is equipped with a multiple interface board offering a RS232 COM port to connect a PT-DL1 serial printer and a USP/s Port to connect the instrument with a PC for updating ect. The PT-TD200 offers product and method filing, user administration and printer connection for test and qualification report printing.



The Leak Test Apparatus is widely applied in the pharmaceutical industry for checking strips, blisters and small bottles containing tablets, capsules, syrups and so on. It also find application in the food industry where it can be effectively used to check the air-tightness of sweet packets, ready-to-eat pre-packed foods, confectionery packaging, packs of noodles, sauces to name but a few.



The PTBA 211E is an ampoule hardness (or breakpoint) testing instrument. It is a special adaptation of the PTB 311E series to allow the determination of ampoule break point. Ampoules with a volume of 1 to 30ml may be tested. Up to 250 tests per series for statistical evaluation are possible. The results may be printed using a PCL5 laser or a dot matrix printer. It can include a batch code and a date and time stamp. Easy calibration and validation possible with full calibration report.
